Photo app
Flip & Rotate Image
Flip & Rotate Image is an Android app that fixes mirrored selfies and sideways photos: it flips them left-right or top-bottom, turns them 90° at a time and saves the result as a new file on your device.
Google Play SugarFlip
- No upload
- Originals kept
- No sign-up
Use it to
- Unmirror a selfie with backwards text
- Straighten a sideways photo or scan and save it
- Mirror a photo for an iron-on transfer print
What it does
- Pick photos — choose photos with the Android photo picker. The app does not ask for a storage permission.
- Choose the steps — pick a preset, or tap flip left-right, flip top-bottom, turn left 90° or turn right 90° yourself. Steps apply in the order you tap, and a preview shows the result first. If you picked several photos, they all get the same steps.
- Save and share — compare the original and the result side by side, then save. Results go to the
Pictures/SugarFlipfolder as new files, and saved photos can be shared right away.
Quick-start presets
- Selfie as others see it
- Mirrors a front-camera selfie left-right so it looks the way others see you.
- Transfer print
- Mirrors left-right for iron-on paper and stencils.
- Turn right 90°
- For photos that came out sideways.
- Upside down
- Turns a photo that came in upside down by 180°.
The orientation your phone recorded (EXIF) is applied first, so photos are flipped as your gallery shows them. If the steps add up to no change (for example two left-right flips), the app tells you and does not create a result.

Free and Pro
Free
- Every step and preset
- Up to 20 photos per batch
- Shows ads
Pro
- Removes ads
- Up to 100 photos per batch
- One-time Google Play purchase, not a subscription
The price is shown on the Pro button in the app and on the Google Play payment screen. If you change devices, use “Restore purchase” in Settings to apply a purchase made with the same Google account. Refunds follow Google Play's policies.
What it cannot do
- It turns in 90° steps only. It cannot straighten a photo by a custom angle, crop or adjust colours.
- It handles still photos only: no videos, GIF or BMP files, or animated images such as animated WebP.
- It is not lossless. JPEG is re-encoded at quality 95, so the file is not bit-for-bit identical, and results do not keep the original's EXIF metadata.
Frequently asked questions
How do I unmirror a selfie that was saved flipped?
Choose the “Selfie as others see it” preset on the home screen and pick the photo; the app saves a new copy flipped back left-right. It fixes photos you already took and does not change your camera settings.
Does the app change or delete my original photos?
No. Originals stay as they are, and results are saved as new files in the Pictures/SugarFlip folder. Delete the original in your gallery if you no longer need it.
Can I flip or rotate several photos at once?
Yes. Pick up to 20 photos at a time on the free version or 100 with Pro, and they all get the same steps in the same order.
Does flipping or rotating lower the quality?
The resolution stays the same. JPEG is re-encoded at quality 95, so the file is not identical to the original and may even be larger; the result screen shows both sizes.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Flipping, rotating and saving work without an internet connection. Only ads and the Pro purchase need one.
