Block Turn Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 12, 2026 · Policy version 1.1.1
This policy applies to the Android game Block Turn (Korean name 한판블록, package name com.sugarmount.blocks), published by simpest under the developer name SugarMount (“we”, “us”). It describes, based on the actual implementation, what data the app handles and what it does not.
1. Summary
This game shows ads (Google AdMob, with Liftoff Monetize mediation) and sells a remove-ads product through Google Play billing. To serve ads, the ad SDKs may process the advertising ID, device and network information and similar data. From version 1.1.1, the app also sends anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) so we can improve the game and measure ad campaigns. We run no servers of our own, there are no accounts, and your game progress and settings are stored on your device.
| Data | How it is handled | Handled by |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress and settings (best score, the classic game in progress, solved puzzles, display, sound and vibration settings) | Stored only in the app’s private storage on your device. Never transmitted. | Your device |
| Ad-related data (advertising ID and app set ID, approximate location derived from the IP address, app interactions, diagnostics) | Collected, processed and shared by the ad SDKs under each company’s policies. Where required, you can choose on the consent screen (UMP). | Google, Liftoff |
| Purchase information | Handled by Google Play billing. We never receive card or payment details. | Google Play |
| Usage statistics and crash reports (from version 1.1.1) | Firebase collects an app instance ID, device information, game progress events (tutorial completed, puzzle numbers solved for the first time and so on), ad impressions with their revenue value, and crash information. No names, contact details or other identifying information are sent. See section 3-1. | Google (Firebase) |
| Account information | Not collected: there are no accounts. | — |
| Other personal data (precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, etc.) | Not accessed and not collected. | — |
2. Permissions and internet access
The app uses the following Android permissions:
- Vibration (VIBRATE): haptic feedback when you place pieces or clear lines. You can turn it off in Settings.
- Internet (INTERNET) and network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): to load ads, show the ad consent screen, check purchases with Google Play and send usage statistics and crash reports (from version 1.1.1). The game itself works offline, and the “Today’s Turn” puzzle is generated on your device. If ads cannot load, you simply keep playing.
- Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) and the Android Privacy Sandbox permissions added by the ads SDK (ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS): to show ads and measure ad performance.
- Google Play billing (com.android.vending.BILLING): to buy the remove-ads product and restore it.
- The ad SDKs also add technical permissions they need to run (WAKE_LOCK and FOREGROUND_SERVICE for background work, com.amazon.privacypass.ATTEST from the Liftoff SDK, and similar). These do not give access to personal data.
- The app does not request location, contacts, camera, photos/storage or microphone permissions. We run no server for this app.
3. Ads and ad consent
This game shows ads with Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and, through AdMob mediation, also receives ads from Liftoff Monetize (Vungle). Ads appear only in these formats:
- A banner at the top of the game screen (not on the home screen or during the tutorial)
- An occasional interstitial, only when you tap “Next” after a game ends (never during a game)
- Rewarded ads that play only when you choose them (3 new pieces when you are stuck in classic, the first move in a 3-Move Turn puzzle)
- An app open ad that may appear when you return to the app after being away for 4 minutes or more
To show ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud, the ad SDKs automatically collect the following data under each company’s policies, and may share it for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS).
- Device or other IDs: the Android advertising ID, the app set ID and other device identifiers
- Approximate location: the IP address, which may be used to estimate the device’s general location (country or region). The app requests no location permission, so precise location such as GPS is not available to the ad SDKs.
- App activity (app interactions): app launches and interactions with ads such as impressions, taps and video views
- App info and performance (diagnostics): launch time, hangs, errors and performance of the app and the ad SDKs
- Other device information (manufacturer, model, OS version, language) and network information (carrier, connection type)
Google and Liftoff collect and process this data; we have no direct access to it. For the exact data and purposes, please see each company’s information:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services

Consent and changing your choices
- The app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). Where the law requires it (the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland, US states with privacy laws, and similar), it shows an ad privacy consent screen or notice before loading ads. You can play without consenting.
- Where consent is required, Privacy options appears in Settings, and you can change your choices or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information there at any time. It does not appear where it is not required.
- In Android Settings under Google > Ads (or Privacy > Ads), you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads.
- Once you buy Remove ads, banner, interstitial and app open ads are no longer shown. Rewarded ads remain available only when you choose them.
3-1. Usage analytics and crash reports (Firebase, from version 1.1.1)
To tune puzzle difficulty and the game's flow, to measure whether players who come from ads (for example Google Ads) actually enjoy the game, and to fix crashes, the app uses Google's Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics.
- What is collected: an app instance ID created by Firebase, device information (model, OS version, language, country and region estimated from the IP address), app usage time and screen changes, and game events we define: tutorial completed, “Turn” puzzle numbers solved for the first time with their stars, Today's Turn completed, classic run score, move count and whether it set a new best, help received through rewarded ads (hint, three new pieces), and ad impressions with their format, ad source and revenue value. The advertising ID may also be used, depending on Google Analytics settings and your consent. When a purchase happens, Firebase records a purchase event (product, amount) automatically.
- Crash reports: when the app crashes, the crash location (stack trace), device state (memory, orientation and so on) and app version are sent to Crashlytics.
- What is not sent: no names, email addresses, phone numbers, location permission data, contacts, photos or your full game progress. We do not create user IDs.
- Use and sharing: only for the purposes above, and never sold. To measure ad campaigns, Google Analytics conversion data (for example tutorial completed, 10th puzzle solved) may be linked to Google Ads. The data is processed by Google (Privacy and Security in Firebase).
- Consent: where consent is required by law, the choice you make on the ad consent screen (UMP) also applies to ad-related processing in Analytics.
4. In-app purchase
The app offers one one-time product through Google Play billing:
- Remove ads (
remove_ads): removes banner, interstitial and app open ads. Rewarded ads remain available when you choose them.
- Payment details such as payment method, card number, name and billing address are handled by Google Play and are never passed to the app or to us.
- The app only receives the purchase state and purchase token from Google Play to apply the product. Whether you own Remove ads is stored only on your device, and Restore purchase in Settings reloads it from Google Play.
- Refunds and purchase history follow Google Play’s policies and procedures. Google Play Terms of Service
5. Accounts
The game does not create accounts or require sign-in. Since we keep no user accounts, there is no separate account deletion feature.
6. Sharing and reviews
- After you solve a 3-Move Turn puzzle, tapping Share opens the Android share sheet. Only a short text with the puzzle number and result plus the Google Play link is passed to the app you pick yourself; nothing is sent to us. What you share is handled under the policy of the app you chose.
- The app may occasionally show Google Play’s in-app review card. Ratings and reviews are handled by Google Play and the app does not receive them.
7. Retention and deletion
| Data | Retention | How to delete |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress (best score, the classic game in progress and its backup, lists of solved, helped and hinted puzzles, today’s puzzle, tutorial completion) and settings (night theme, sound, vibration, drag height) | Stored only in the app’s private storage (SharedPreferences) on your device; never transmitted | Deleted when you clear the app’s data in Android Settings or uninstall the app. |
| Whether you own Remove ads | Stored only on your device; never sent to us. Google Play keeps the purchase record itself. | Deleted when you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app; Restore purchase reloads it from Google Play. |
| Records used to space out ads (games finished, launches, date, time of the last ad, ads shown today) and review prompt records | Stored only on your device; never transmitted | Deleted when you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app. |
| Ad-related data | Under Google’s and Liftoff’s policies | Reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings. Where consent is required, change your choices in Settings > Privacy options. |
| Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics, from version 1.1.1) | Kept for the Google Analytics data retention period (up to 14 months) | Uninstalling the app removes its app instance ID, so later data is not linked to it. To delete existing data, contact us below. |
| Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics, from version 1.1.1) | Kept for 90 days | Deleted automatically after the retention period. |
| Emails you send us | Kept in our mailbox as long as needed to answer and resolve your request | Ask for deletion at the contact below. |
We cannot access your game progress, settings or ad spacing records, so there is no data outside your device for us to show or delete.
8. Your rights
You can set or request the following yourself:
- Where consent is required, change your ad consent choices or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information in Settings > Privacy options
- Reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in Android Settings
- Ask us to show or delete emails you sent us, at the contact below. Google and Liftoff are responsible for the data processed by the ad SDKs, and we will point you to their procedures.
9. Third-party services
The app uses these third-party services:
